This was Jeremy's first series ever made publicly on Youtube.
The Plastic Way was a web series made in 2009 directed by Jeremy (MrGeneralJB) starring his old action figures. The story is really about a clone trooper action figure who was shipped in a box with a multitudinous amount of action figures. Appo, the "clone commander" of his new friends, must embark on a rescue mission to find "Red Buddy"; a action figure who left the group because of Appo's mistreatment and self-centered values.
Plot
One night, a shipping container holds a countless amount of action figures, including the main protagonist, Commander Appo; a clone trooper, as well as a handful of other star wars related toys. Hours after shipment, Appo frees himself from his box, showing his character of being energetic and adventurous. Soon after discovering toy weapons and tw0 blue clone troopers along with a red clone trooper, accompanied by two R2D2 "walking trash-can" action figures, he puts his leading skills to the tests, and want's to be there commander. "Red Buddy", the red clone trooper, reluctantly disagrees and believes that Appo is not capable of such a position; though he gets it anyway because of the other two clone troopers lack of knowledge. Later when they make camp, only a 2 feet from there box; Red Buddy wishes to depart because of the lack of leadership and Appo's self-centered usages of adventure. With Red's leave, the group becomes rattled with anger; until Appo convinces that a rescue mission must be made to find Red. To stall confusion, Appo straps his name tag to one of the action figures to know which one's who. The R2D2 action figures who were forcibly left behind because of Appo's commands saying that they were "walking trash-cans", are ambushed by droid action figures; who's sole mission is to eradicate the cl0nes.
During the R2D2's interrogation, the "waling trash-cans" soon enough show the location of their companions to the droids. Meanwhile, Appo and his troop are trying to find an easier way down a shelf; particularly with a cable or a wire. The droids hesitate to make confrontation with the clones, and try to make civil confrontation with the clones by sending in a messenger. Appo, discovering that they are trying to enforce an ultimatum on them, intervenes and punches the messenger, initially discovering that all the weapons they posses are made of plastic and considered useless; call in aid to the other droids. A brawl between the clones and the droids end when the clones rip apart arms and leg pieces of the droids, leaving the droid leader for last to be pushed off the shelf. Appo's men give him respect while he gives them respect in return.
Meanwhile, Red Buddy begins to regret ever leaving the group after running away from a house dog, eventually leading that Red has gone far into danger. Appo and his company begin to assemble down the shelf with a wire, though one of the clone troopers slips but is saved because he is wearing the Appo's name tag. The fellowship embark into the unknown, unaware of what danger lie ahead.
To fulfill the need of valuables and supplies, Appo constructs a "vessel" which he soon names "Nuclear Fishen" to embark on the rescue mission. He straps one of his men with rubber bands as a puller to pull the vessel while Appo, the tag solider, and the droids who follow the journeyers to find Red. Suddenly, the group is attacked by 2 house dogs; one of which confronted Red earlier. Appo rallies his men, but they are all stricken with fear. Appo tries to fend off the dogs by using the ships American flag, but fails. The dogs soon try to eat Appo, but the clone who was pulling the vessel, engages by kicking its legs. Appo tells the crew that he is a good distraction and there is no need to intervene. The soldier is soon devoured and spat out; for it was not a real meal. Appo throws an object for the dog to chase it while the group retreats. Soon afterwords, they return to recovering the body. Appo cares less and says that sacrifices must be made. The tag soldier soon relaizes that the company is simply treated like animals, and learns that Appo's leadership has caused a causality that can't be replaced, and possibly many more to come. The tag soldier confronts Appo and tells him that Red is most likely dead, and continuing the mission would be a lost cause and more death. After attending the figures "funeral", Appo departs alone to find Red, dead or alive; promising to return.
Meanwhile, Red unexpectedly finds a computer where he for hours on end, watches star wars and halo related videos.
